Jim Angelus
I am an Orthodox Christian of Greek descent, married to my beautiful wife Lynnn and blessed with our beautiful 20-year-old twin sons, Nicholas and Evan. In 2002, I realized my goal to cross America on a bicycle, the 2002 IOCC Race to Respond, an event that benefited IOCC efforts in aiding the lives of people suffering from war, poverty and natural disasters, providing overall support for IOCC’s humanitarian efforts around the globe.
The idea for the 2002 Race To Respond was born at a regional cycling event where I met another cyclist who shared my love of cross-country events. For endurance-cyclists, the challenge to cross the country in 25 days was a pace modeled after the Tour de France, providing the ultimate test of physical and mental endurance.
This summer, we celebrate IOCC's 20th Anniversary by crossing the northern tier of the United States over a 37-day period – the 2012 IOCC Race to Respond. The ultimate success of Race To Respond will be measured by its ability to inspire and attract local, regional and national support. I invite you to become part of this inspirational undertaking and help us demonstrate how the efforts of a few can make a difference in our world at large.
Your financial support and sponsorship of the 2012 IOCC Race To Respond will help IOCC in its mission to address a broad range of humanitarian needs throughout the world.
